Next door neighbour and another good mate have the same rig but in manual. Neighbours gets along real well, although has pipes and a piggyback low rent Haltech ECU. Knows his stuff with these engines, was surprised to find out they are still pushrod equipped. Apparently stocko pushrods dont like much boost, tend to banana fairly easily although I reckon that would be more to muppet tuning as you seem to have already discovered.

I would've happily ponied up to get a STX550, if only they had a bit more offroad ability. Got a Wrangler instead thinking it would go alright being fairly light for what it is and having a moo spec motor (3.8 v6). Instead I got a minivan powered shitheap. What is it with manufacturers and underpowered 4wds?
Anyway, am seriously interested if you do a kit or something for this. All the RB25DET conversion Patrol guys seem to regret it.

Fuck putting an RB25 in a patrol, they are nowhere near torquey enough to move one.
I have offered to do an exchange with cash for a GT3582 for my mate FG GT3576. That'll be pretty spot on for a nugget TB45.
