Does 1/2" submersible fuel hose exist? where?

    Hey,

I am installing a new fuel pump and the suction side is a AN8 fitting, the hydra-mat outlet is also 1/2 and I'd like to minimize the suction head of the pump.

its a Pierburg L3LM screw pump running at 17.5V PWM control, so capable 500+lph at open flow and ~430lph at 70psi at 100% duty. being screw it's much more efficient that a walbro 460 and won't pulse/surge at lower duties. even at 17.5v at 80psi it's only pulling ~17amps.

    this thing:

the line from pickup to the pump will be about 50cm so I'd like to keep it 1/2" if I can, but can't find any submersible hose in that size.

    any ideas?

alibaba sellers claim to have SAE 30R10 hose, but for how much of a fuckaround it is to get to an R34 fuel pump I want a decent legitimate brand that actually sells what the specs say.

I'm using that in 3/8" for pump outlet, but they don't make 1/2". hence my post specifically asking about 1/2".

Thread dig. I haven't been able to locate any 1/2" submersible hose, maybe someone has found some? I'd rather not use hard line.

Can you get any Viton hose in your size? I’d be looking at that for submersible.

Turns out Aeroflow claims their 400 series hose is submersible in ethanol/methanol and size up to 3/4"

yep, they claim that but it has a hard enough time lasting with fuel running through it's interior. Grab a short bit and sit it in a jar of fuel for a week.

This was after 3 months running with 98 in an engine bay:

The issue with that Aeroflo hose is that the outer elastomer won’t have the same as the inner liner which probably has great fuel resistance but not the outer.

just search for viton (FKM) Fluoroeastomer hose and you’ll be fine.
