They're pretty bulky, all the commo ones have that stupid donut style coupler so no slip joint and from what I've read tuning them takes some finesse and that's the key to making them live.

doesn't surprise me since harvest was doing low 8s with a A series 9 years ago.

I had a good chat with the Real St dudes at Dragweek last year, and the topic of A340's came up. Sure they run fast passes, once or twice.

                    Ha

Pedro has admitted to breaking a few in the low 8's and 7's. His "Stage 4" is currently running the times and every now and then he will break the input shaft. ATFspeed are working on their Stage 5 which is pretty much all billet parts and a larger input shaft. Pedro is just waiting on that as ATFspeed have just got a whole bunch of CNC machines in for production.

Our conversation was laughing at people with a modded valve body, some solenoid logic control and fresh ATF expecting 1000hp capable OEM trans.

I'm sure there is a lot of development constantly happening as well..

Yeah, been looking at these too. More and more controllers are coming out for them. Just finding one for that price in Aus is rare as rocking horse piss.

Someone here got an E9X series DCT for $2300. The cheapest F8X (long ratio) quote I got so far is $4200, going all the way up to $9k for super low km ones.
