    N13 Pulsars

Whats the difference between the Pulsar Q, Vector, Ti, and GL Pulsars? I'm looking at a Vector are they any good?

    TD,

The GL is the base model... so probably 1.6... and rear drums.. (sedan and hatch)

The GX is the middle model-- 1.6 or 1.8 bit nicer inside etc..

The Ti, is the 'luxury' model.. I think they only came in auto, with the 1.8L engine... P/S A/C 4 wdisc brakes generally 2 tone paint.. (sedan only)

The Q is the 'sports' model... 1.8, mainly 5 spds.. the post 89 models have the viscous LSD( easy to tell-- it's written on the body mouldings.., 4wdisc brakes, (hatch only)

The Vector is a catch all for the sedan that isn't the Ti...

The Vector to get is the SSS ... 1.8L.. 5spd, 4wdiscs, P/S, LSD,and the 1st ones have bilstein shocks, and bigger sway bars..

Would I recommend them to anyone.. nope... though lots of others here would disagree..

I have never heard of the n13 SSS series 1 having Bilstein shocks and fattened up swaybars.

The only n13s that had Bilstein suspension were the SVD series.

The n13 SSS series 2 is the pick of the bunch, with the viscous LSD.

I owned a n13 SSS series 1 for 2.5years and I found it to be a great little car.

plenty of info out there to suggest that... have a read of back issues on motor, wheels zoom, etc..

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't all the SSS's have viscous LSDs?

IMHO, worst car I have ever owned... and currently for sale back down in adelaide..

my AE82 Corolla 4A-C handled better, and was more reliable and better put together than my N13 Q with LSD box... was a nicer engine too ....

All I can say is our stock 89 pulsarQ 5speed 1.8 goes like stink, and hasnt really missed a beat, just little things, but nothing mechanical wise.
