          i've seen warped rotors, so unless my eyes were a myth...

          can you feel feedback through the pedal? does it throb when you brake? (that's a sign of warped rotors)

          maybe your calipers aren't backing off properly, and the pads are only just touching? (that could be your flexible hoses are old, your pads are worn out, or your rotors warped)

            hmm, i had a whoosh whoosh noise for a while, that changed whilst driving, it was my CV boot rubbing on my exhaust
