    Changing bellhousing

Okay, this is probably a REALLY stupid question, but I don't know the answer so I must ask...

I'm changing the bellhousing on my T50 (from the T to the A), and when I took the old bellhousing off I noticed it has a bit of a gasket between it and the gearbox... Do I need to get a special gasket to put the new bellhousing on? Is it a generic T50 one? Or do I cut one out of gasket paper? Or just use gasket goo? Anything I should watch out for when changing the bellhousing (apart from gear oil everywhere...)

    Thanks

:D hahaha, gotta love the gear oil. Smells great too...

No special gasket, just a paper one. Make sure that the gasket has ALL the holes in it as the original one had.

Oh okay cool Someone else told me not to use a gasket but instead to just use gasket goo... I suppose either way should work...

Like any mating surfaces, they don't reeeaaallllyyy need a gasket, if you want to be rough. But for the five minutes it takes to cut one out of the gasket paper, it is worth the effort.

5 minutes? Geez you're good It took me a lot longer than that, but I have gasket paper AND gasket goo now

BTW what torque should the bolts be? I sort of just guessed they would be about the same as the bellhousing to block torque (which on my current 4K is 47Nm so I set it to that)
