aircon fan only works 3+4 (integra)

The ventilation fan on my 1987 honda integra only works on level 3 and 4, not 1 and 2.

From what i've heard the problem is a resistor is blown.
But where is it and what type is it?

Where can i get a replacment part

Yep, fan resistor is most likely cause.

It's normally located in the heater ducting (where air gets blown over it), usually not far from the fan itself.
Look for a 4-pin plug on the air ducting somewhere.

If you are lucky, it may have a "fuse" type mechanism that has failed. Just solder it up and it is as good as new.
If it is broken, must get original part (new or s/hand).

Doubt it, there aren't any large coils of wire in there to assist in the cooling of the air as it flows. That might be an air con compressor controller or something

Get a sharper photo of the guts of it and I might be able to tell you further.

Nah, that looks like the a/c thermostat (or similar).
The thing you are looking for should have coils of "wire", as Bozz says.

i tried to remove a part that i thought was the resistor, but i couldnt remove it, it felt like it was a fan anyway.

i tried to start the fan while it was partially plugged in, its spakred for a second so i turned it off. I then plugeed it in properly and tried again, it worked on 3 + 4 again.the next time i tried it won't work at all.

I really need someone who knows where the components are in this car.

I checked the fuses but cant find any damaged, what is likely to have broken now?
