What is the best kind of igition lead to suit a rotary?

Why would someone double crossover ignition leads in a car? Like, as they come out of the coil pack/s they are taped together, so that crossover, then when they head towards teh spark plugs they recrossover, essentially crossing over eachother twice.(I have an idea on this, but I want to see if its right)
