I have rang up about sleeving the block, i have to measure the exact size of it to see what they have there but it is pretty cheap to re sleeve it. Im going to see the thickest sleeve i can fit in it.

Also a place was looking to get billet rocker arms made up but they would be about $50 each but you have to get 500 made up at a time. This would then mean it would be good to go for like 9,000 rpm

you could just swap over to the GTiR valve gear couldn't you?

        paul:

knife edging a crank is sharpening the edge of the crank so it glides through the oil better with less resistance at higher speeds

        (correct me if i'm wrong)

Rods - absolutely ; Sleeves - no. According to an ex Nismo Engineer (Mike Kojima) the main problem with SRs at extreme power levels is keeping the head on. Blocks start to get marginal at 700ish but if you've got full wall thickness on the standard block it isnt an issue. You will need to convert to a solid top end if you want it to rev hard at high boost. It also allows smaller cams to be run for the same at valve lift.
We're aiming to see exactly what an SR block will take, its only at 360ish rwhp at the moment, but we're aiming for 450ish without the gas.

Try and get an entire GTiR motor, the block, rods, crank are all better as is the head, ports and valve gear.

Only problem is trying to get the intake to fit under the bonnet.

ok here's one we prepared earlier :p

this gti-r is making 547hp or 270kw at all 4

(ingore the 12.30, it bettered that by about 1 second a few months ago)

The only problems I see here is rods. Go some aftermarket rods, Eagle are making H-Beam rods at the moment and they are going for around $800 a set.

-HKS S2 cams 272 degree and 10.5 mm lift

-lifters - do i change to solid lifters?
-porting - how much is needed
-valve guides - do they need to be replaced
                        -are standard valves good enough
-is inlet manifold a restriction, can i port this or is a custom one better? is the Greddy one any good? is standard throttle body too small? what is best upgrade?
More lift from the cams would be good, HKS of the shelf items go up to 11.5mm. Solid lifters, oh yes, because you will need revs to get the HP you want.

rest of the running gear already is

                        -FMIC
                        -blitz 850 cc injectors
-bosch 044 pump (will this be big enough)
-remote oil filter and cooler(cooler not installed yet)
                        -high mount manifold
                        -garrett GT30 (.7 front, .86 rear)
                        -turbo smart 45 mm gate
-3 inch exuast and gate venting to atmo
850cc injectors will get you around 612hp at the flywheel at 90% duty cycle. The pump could handle the application, but at this power level surely a surge tank setup and new lines would be in order.

The Garrett GT30 you specify would more than likely not rise to your expectations if you are talking RWHP. Not sure if it will support that much HP at the fly either.

                        Best of luck!
