SR20DET (600 HP) and fitting an auto

    Hi

I went to MV autos in adelaide and they said they want to put a vl turbo jatco box behind my sr. They said they will probably be able to use a bellhousing from another nissan to make it bolt up but they havent done one before. They have done lots of rb series motors and i think FJ not sr tho. Has anyone put a jatco behind a sr? or any other auto for high hp behind a SR?

    thanks

playa unless you really really want quick 1/4 mile time go for a manual CNC was mumbling some thing bout an auto.
I believe it could be done. but have to ask why.
also get a firm quote from them and a guarantee that it will work properly or else dont persue it. in other word dont pay for their development and rb 25 box could be made to fit. there are also strong gear sets avaliable for the sr's

I times are the preferance then you might be on the right track but while your at it look at trans brake options as well cause if your going to do it do it well.

yea the Jatco from MV's has trans brake in it already and all the trick stuff to holt 700 hp in a vl turbo. Has hardened out put shafts, full manual valve body etc. I have to wait till my motors engine dynoed so that i can get a converter made to the exact specs.

sounds good man they could probably adapt a belhousing from an sr auto and you can find them pretty cheap if you going auto you may as well start thinking bout gas (No2 as well) and go for a low 11 or a 10
            happy hunting

the motor im building is using nitrous already we are trying to keep the turbo lag to say 4,200 so that i dont have to kill the rocker arms with revs. So instead of revs we are using nitrous.

that green ghost s14 had a ford c4 auto i think. pretty sure CAS did that. i remember a couple of jamborees ago it did a 10 so it would have similar power to yours.

Vince Rigoli is trying to convince me i need a Trimatic, but it's 5 grand for the conversion drive in driver out. Box, shifter, floor, tailshaft etc.

yea could be a decent price cos it seems box all tuff and shit what ever they do with trans brake is about $2000 converter is about $800 then about 250 if they cant get a bell housing to suit. then the rest for sloor mods, then 400 for the cheapest B and M shifter.

A high quality, very high velocity military plastic explosive.
Our C4 is supplied in bulk drums, in a slightly powdery form. Upon manipulation the material immediately consolidates into a rubbery fully plasticised mass which may be kneaded and pressed into any shape. The material has excellent mechanical and adhesive properties, and may be stretched into long strands without breakage.

In its original powdery form the explosive may be poured into charge containers, then pressed into intimate contact with the liner.

Substantial price discounts are available on full shipping containers (16 tonnes plus). Please enquire.
