    RB26DETT max boost with stock internals??

    hey guys

    i got rb26dett (low km's 30 000) and got highflowed (bigger wheels) turbos with 3" cooler piping, stock gtr cooler, bov, stock plenum and cams, 700cc injectors, motorsport 044 fuel pump, surge tank, twin plate clutch, rb25 sump, adjustable fuel reg, autronics ecu, and thats about it.

    so what sort of max boost could i run with this setup and stock internal engine, safely ????????

    any ideas of power figures on dyno in 2wd VL Calais???

    (originally made 300hp at wheels with stock boost and stock injectors)

    it would make a lil more in a vl.. not totally sure.. not too much. i know some ppl running 1.4bar from hks 2530s into a std motor.. just make sure its tuned.

      On my mates GTR 1.8 Bar with a T88 33D it made 370KW At all 4 wheels on a internaly stock motor, The motor just got pulled apart and everything inside is still immaculate and looks brand new. With the Turbos you discribed you should be getting some descent power to the rears the motor should be making around the 450 HP mark give or take, A well tuned and maintained RB26DETT should hold around 500 KW.

        what they all said btw how does it go I remember when you got the project started are you happy?
        also I would limit boost on those turbo's to 1.5/1.6 bar to be safe and make sure its well tuned.

          hey megalla it has been runnin for ages now and it goes well on stock boost and spins anytime i wish

          cant wait for the injectors to be installed

          at the moment the car keeps stalling cause of something to do with a sensor or the autronics, but ill sort that when it goes on the dyno at hyperdrive motorsport which glen campbell tuned it perfectly last time and i never started it for 3 months and first crank the other day it started and ran sweet

          i recomend hyperdrive to anyone with a gtr or any other car btw :D


          i got some 10" wide slicks for the rear and once i bolt em on (change diff to coil overs to fit em) ill be down kwinana motorplex to race on a regular bases and also motorkanas and drift would be awesome too :p

          mods are on the agenda soon... big high mount turbos and trust drag cooler and greddy plenum, internals, etc :D

          anyway enough of my dribble.....

            You can run 150 million psi.

            Seriously, as long as it's well tuned I wouldn't hesitate to say that 600hp is possible... that doesn't mean you'll get a lot of life out of it.

            People only need forgies if they plan on making their motor ping.
