    High speed problems

car is an N13 with ca turbo conversion -

Has this other stuff too which has affected my problem -
    rb20 throttle body
    460cc rotor injectors
    r32 gtr fuel pump
    sr20-t afm

*speed input not connected to factory computer*

Car would get to 150 then have what might be called a fuel cut or maybe lean out. So the above fuel pump was put in. Got to 160 and same thing. Put bigger injectors in then got to 170 but with really crap air fuel down low. Changed afm to a sr20-t and solved the low down fuel problem and now goes to 180 and stops again.

Why won't it go fast? I mean this is my second effort at this conversion and my old car would lean out at 190, then get fuel back again and shoot straight past 200 (end of clock in n13) and all it had was pod and 3" high flo exhaust. it had standard fuel pump and everything else.

I didn't write this to hear the opinions on high speed driving, just the possible cause of the above mentioned problem.

I am thinking maybe different diff, would that be it? I kept an n13 exa lsd out of a box i blew in the last car, the current car uses an open centre (i think) standard box & diff.

    Any ideas?

What size are the fuel lines? And how clean is the inside of the tank?

    Just a couple of thoughts.

Lines are standard n13 from tank to fuel filter then standard ca18 upto the standard ca18 rail.

What size/diam. do you think they should be? I don't know the current size/diam, but if you have a recommendation i can compare it when i do know what they are.

The r32 pump used all the same fittings when i changed it. from wiring to the plumbing in the tank, even the bracketing was the same. Could the lines out side the tank still need to be bigger even though the intank ones coming straight off of the pump are the same as orig?

The tank is spotless in side which i was suprised to see after 300,000+ k's. Do you think a fuel filter would be worth a go?

Is it possible to be a computer contolled fuel cut? I am not sure how they work as in off of a rpm signal, afm signal or speedo.

      Cheers for advice

        what computer are you using?
sex is like air - it only becomes important when your not getting any.

You seem to have decent sized injectors...i was just wandering if the fuel system was maxed out...you have uprated injectors and pump so I was wandering if the lines may be too small.

A fuel filter would be the first thing I changed....It may be the cheap fix.
