    Corolla - stalling when cold

Was looking at buying a late 80's auto Corolla, but when it was cold, if you gave it say more than 50% throttle it would just not go anywhere, a bit more it'd stall. When warm it was ok. Does it just need a tune, or is it a bit worse than that?

was it a carby model? If so there is something wrong with the autochoke, shouldn't be too hard too fix.

Yep. Good stuff, thanks. Car seemed perfect otherwise.

        Speshal,
I assume you were pushing the accelerator to the floor before starting to enable the auto choke?

same happens to my car, after u warm her up it drives fine.
my car is meant to have auto idle but it doesnt work so i just hold my foot on accel until it warms up a bit.

          cheers
