Yep, that problem is common in all converters,Its a build up of heavy end deposits in the fuel and when the LPG is vapourized by the converter, it leaves behind the afore mentioned residue that if left to build up to much,can block conponents etc,some converters have a drainage plug to let you get rid of it but some others need to be annually pulled apart and cleaned.
Also, dependant on how you mount the converter,flat or on the side,these deposits can be burnt but it has been debated as to wether you want to burn it or let the crud accumulate.
