    Rego changes

I have a VB commodore that was defected in Victoria and since then it hasn't had it's rego renewed and is now in the NT.

If i fix the car up, get it roadworthy, will I be able to just register the car up here and forget about the defect in Victoria? Or do I have to get the defect issues sorted out in VIC? the defect dates back to 1992

i reckon its worth a go.... whats the defect for exactly? did you own the car back in 1992?

just get it roadworthy and try to register it, see what happens. not too sure on NT legislation with car registration and wether someone would look over the car, but you might be okay.

hmmm, now how do you clear a defect? By making sure it is roadworthy and getting it checked by whoever does the checks in NT. Same thing you have to do to get it registered anyway.
