Boost Controller: Y doesn't it work???

    Hey,

just wondering if anyone out there knows why my boost contoller on my sigma isnt working. I just got some very useful info from my friend but he had to go so its really bugging me because everything he has said about how it hooks up etc. seems identical to how it is on my car.

Anyway its a sigma turbo with external gate and the controller is an 'actuator type'. All up theres 3 lines.

    1) goes from the original wastegate line to a spot on the inlet manifold.

    2) goes from the alloy cover on the wastegate to one side of the actuator controller.

    3) goes from another spot in inlet manifold to the other side ofthe actuator.

The problem i am having is that it overboosts and doesnt stop when accelerating. the actuator is adjusted by turning it either clckwise to add more boost and anti-clockwise to decrease boost. when the hoses arent connected youcan blow thru the lines and adjust the actuator and it works fine. lets air in when open and lets none in when closed. the mechanic that fitted it for me says its too touchy and is pretty much either on or off, so stock boost when closed and like unlimited boost when open.

its really bothering me now as from what i have explained to my mate seems right but it just doesnt work!?!!?

Anyone experienced any problems with these types of wastegates, or anything similar?

    Thankyou :D

this is the 'original wastegate line' that is going to one of the inlet manifold fittings.
