hi thought I would post a bit of a update to my rb25de cefiro.
We are at the begining motor is in a running thanks bozz and others.
made 94 rwkw straight out of the box untouched played with the timing and got it as far as 107 very slight ping so back to 105 for safety.
next stage is extrctors and cam gear we are hoping for 115 or so from them then going either 260 cam or 272's for that extra 15 rwkw to get us up to the 130 mark.
as for how it drives. not bad plenty of low down torque feels nicer than a completely stock rb20det nice progressive power band .
would I do it again yes.
a/fs were 12.5 12.6 on the stock ecu.
what would I do differnent may be go for a later r33 motor cause of the variable cam timing but that has some issues i not easy to tune etc but has higher compression.
a good package all up. and yes it can do burn outs :D
btw motor makes around 132 kw from the factory so still a fair way from some of the turbo motors
