I guess I have to fit a fuel neck restrictor as part of an engine conversion process. Question is, does such a thing exist as a purchaseable item or do I just get a random bit of tube welded in?

I just bought the filler neck from something with a generic shape that suited. I found magna was spot on for my uses. I wrote "Unleaded fuel only" in texta inside the fuel flap and the engineer was happy with that too LOLTurns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

yeah, but wreckers usually remove the tanks before they crush the cars, I asked if I could have one and they said "$5 if you can get it out". was a piece of cake on the magna.Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

yeah many have the neck top accessable from inside the boot and you get under the car to pull it off the tank and haul it up into the boot.Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

I just don't want to crawl around under cars in the wreckersyeah, but wreckers usually remove the tanks before they crush the cars,
I had to pull the whole tank out of my car to get to the filler because the clamps were in such a position that I couldn't access them with the tank in the car.

then find one that's easier to remove :p or get the wrecker to do it (my favorite option)Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Yeah, only cost me about $20 for the unleaded filler-neck for the Volvo, walked into a Volvo specialist wrecker & asked for it. In my case it was easy 'cos it was basically the same part I already had except with a smaller filler-hole; if you wanted to hack the end off it's probably worth paying $20 not to crawl around under a car.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

you can buy them, any compliance place will have them they cost about 10 bucks. I got mine from compliance components in andelaide, you die grind out the stock filler neck, use an expander to flare it a few mm then sikaflex in the new filler works real good.

3D scanning
3D modelling
Structural certification
3 and 5 axis milling
