    Injector upgrade advice

    Now,

Im running standard injectors on my rex, and standard fuel pump. Im thinking of upgrading to something bigger to allow me to get more power later on.

What would be a good option?

Are sti injectors the same as standard ones or do they flow more ?

and what would be a good fuel pump to use?

Also, the car would obviously need to be re-tuned to accomodate these new parts right? (Chiptorque ecu)

STi Pinks are around 550 cc. Depending on year, stock WRX Greys are either 380cc or 440cc.

STi Pinks should be a straight drop in.

Sti pink injectors are top feed for MY01 onwards, they don't fit older models.
Nui, what model is your car. Specifically, does it have a 3 wire air flow meter of 80mm diameter or 4 wire of 95mm diameter?
MY99-00 have 440's as standard which can support ~190 ATW(plenty), the older models have 380's which are only safe for ~150 ATW(safe being the keyword).

              Al,

              Its a MY97.

              Unsure of AFM wire...

Currently running 21psi with stock fuel system, has been running this set up since the first owner modded it back in 1998.

It most likely has 380cc grey injectors. Your options are 440cc yellow injectors from a 97 V3 STi or 97 GTB Legacy TT. The MY99 yellow tops will NOT fit into your rail but it is possible to modify MY99 rails and fit them complete to the manifold. It certainly isn't a bolt in though. Other options are Sard straight fits in 650cc, not cheap though.
440's would be plenty to support your current setup. A pump is a must though, you should already have one. Walbro's drop in but are Yankee rubbish IMO, Bosch can be adapted fairly easily and are good quality. An 044 intank is the easiest but you can adapt 909 and 910 external pumps to fit intank as well. These are cheaper.

Stupid me forgot that the Classic shape STi's had the 440's as well. Memory like a seive...
