    I used foam to cure the same problem in my torana many moons ago.
    The capri will get a fuel cell though.

          They look like they might be cable tied or tiew wired in. Doesn't mention it in the blurb though..

            Any more opinions on using one block of foam to act as an absorbant tank baffle?

            Not to fill the tank up, just one block say 200mm wide to slow fuel slosh from side to side. Apparently the Army's C130 aircraft have their fuel tanks filled with cut to size foam blocks.

              They tend to corner in balance- ie no side loads at all.

              Foam stops fuel sloshing around, but it won't stop it from reacting to force.

              ie it will take longer to move to the outside during cornering, but it will still move across.

              The easiest answer is to make the bottom of the tank have a pot or a channell in it that fuel can't escape from during cornering, and that will refill during the next straight. Same idea as a huge swirl pot. Maybe email BAR Honda and ask them how to do it :D

                If you go with foam dont cut it yourself...it all breaks up in itty bits & clogs up your entire fuel system.

                          Just finished reading a book by Steve Matchett (former Benneton Mechanic and now auther and commentator) on building the ultimate F1 car. Obviously F1 cars under go a shit load of G's (4G under brakes, 3G under accel, 3G round corners) and have the below which I have just quoted out of the book as the fuel setup, maybe you can do something similar...

                          The space inside the fuel tank (which by the way are made out boring old rubber!!) is filled with a series of internal chambers, each equipped with two, one-way trapdoors.The fuel comes in, pouring into the chambers, their trapdoors swinging open allowing the fuel to flow freely....once the fuel enters a lower chamber, the trapdoor closes and it can not flow back.

                          Blah, Blah, Blah....

                          Eventually the fuel finds its way inside the middle chamber at the very bottom of the tank. Here sits the collector, a two litre carbon fibre container resting at the bottom of the tank...Blah.....Pumps to supply the Collector are located in each corner of the lowest chamber.
                          I know that is a whole lot to get through (and the description in the book goes on some more, but my typing skillz are teh suk) but it works for F1, no doubt it will work for the 260!!

                                intehnet, got it from Borders in Brisbane City although I'm pretty sure I've seen it at other smaller bookshops.

                                Awesome book, goes into so much detail about all of the comprimises that need to be made in making an F1 car. One of those books you could read again in two years and find more info!!
