Would you use those fittings on oil cooler lines and the like?

I looked at this, is it really hard to get the hose on? How do u push it on exactly with out nearly crippeling your self.

i used push on style earls fittings, no where near as hard as you'd think to put on (i weigh 74kg and i managed ) and didn't leak in the slightest, i was quite impressed.

i went to the crimping place today, they bends they have are way to big

took up way to much space..
its gonna be really hard for me to get some good priced bends..
i think im just gonna have to pay top dollar

but i guess it wont leak which means ill protect the motor..
last thing i want is the line to blow and lose my engine..

          10,000 vs 300 dollars
i know which i'd rather spend

I don't remember exactly how much I paid for my lines, but to use quality high-pressure 1/2" (I think) rubber (not braided) hose with crimped fittings, it was something like around $1500 for the oil & water hoses to fit a turbo, a remote oil-filter, and an oil-cooler. I just fitted the original filter remotely, so I can get a standard filter for a Volvo & not need anything fancy.
That was buying almost everything from Pirtek (the remote filter mount was just from the local car-parts place, the Volvo uses the same filter as most Aussie 6cyl Falcons & I believe V8 ones as well).
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Does anyone know if anywhere sells nice radiused 90 degree bends to go between two hoses (ie with a barb/attachment on either end of a 90 degree). I've got the part numbers for earls bends to replace two of my 90 degree flowcrap (tm) brass fittings but i have a 90 degree fitting in one of the lines to.
I could make one but i'd have to buy two hose ends, two adaptors and the 90 degree piece itself. Seems a little complex to just turn a corner hehe.

Why not have a brake shop make copper lines and then flare the ends and use fittings to attach to hose to allow flex... seems a cheap easy solution, stock oil lines for turbos are copper after all.

yep have dones heaps of time in the past worked no problems at all, oil coolers have the same pressure in them as oil filters do, most oil systems wont go over 120psi at the most

a little singer oil on the fitting will aid the slide on

if any one wants prices on fittings let me know and ill see what i can do for you,
                    im a cunt

Well i streamlined my cooler lines a bit (removed two unessessary sharp 90 degree bends and replaced another 90 with a longer smooth radius). And....well it only got a rather dissapointing 30psi on cold start, i was hoping for 80-100psi. I might stick a normal filter on the side of the motor and see what sort of pressure it gets with that, if the pressure is good then i might try the normal filter in place of the big Z9 i have. If i can't get good pressure with my cooler setup it'll probably do more harm then good .

Big filter shouldn't affect oil pressure except for taking a little longer to fill. Lower than yoiu are expecting pressure could be a stuck bypass, or blocked pickup, or thin oil, or fucked bearings.

Did it make more pressure before?

stick the ends of the hose in boiling water then when its hot push it over the fitting

It didn't make more pressure before but the big ends and mains were gone, it did make 100psi or so back 6 months ago though. The oil cooler setup has changed partly in an attempt to improve flow, but perhaps is still really restrictive. Step one is to remove it and see i guess.
