    Been there,done that..
    I bought Crower billet rods (5 mm longer than stock) back in -97 for my 18R-G.Nice pieces of machined art.. What they cost back then maybe irrelevant now (U$ 680).
    The stock ones lasted many years but the 8000 rpm limit with them drive me mad:just when the going was best the limiter put stop of it (and it take me sometime to find out why valve adjusting shims were jumping sideways).Did the extra 5 mm of rod lenght any good I don't know but when I was anyway ordering custom made rods and 5 mm shorter pistons were readily available I take that option.

          Don't remind me... Sooo, the 18R shall be ready 2010 some time??

          Interesting, is that from Crower direct??

            My vote goes to Top-End Performance, they got a Custom set of Pauter Rods made for my car (CA18DET), and there Very nice indeed.. From memory they were around 1000AUS
            9000rpm Here we come!!

              I got a set of Argo rods for my motor(2l pinto) a few weeks ago. Very nice looking rod and have heard good things about Argo rods.
