      I dont run a o2 sensor.

Is there a way to check that the injectors are firing, and that the haltechs injector drivers arn't faulty.

The ecu runs switched earth to trigger. I could use a LED buy im not sure 2ms is fast enough to notice or for the LED to glow??

is the fuel cut out feedback loop operating all the time? Most ECU's have it so fuel pressure is supplied for startup, but if no tacho signal is forthcoming it cuts the fuel pump, so that in the event of an accident or fuel hose rupture, the pump doesn't continue on causing a fire hazard.

you can check the injectors are opening simply by listening for the tick when the car is cranked or running. This wont tell you if they are blocked or have a crappy spray pattern though. It does sound like it's running on the cold start injector though (if it's still fitted).

                      Nope not fitted.

Ive reset the primer and any correction map to see if they were the cause. Them zero'd out had no effect.

Then the next step will be back to basics. Check the cam timing, THEN check the distributor timing, and plug lead order. Then check the injector order. On a 3 cyl all these things will still let it run just enough to get your hopes up without being able to actually run.

Secoh, the car runs perfectly some times, but breaks down with spluttering and then randomly decideds to splutter, run good or not fire at all.

Cam timing I havent checked, I will do that now.
                            IGN timing is right on.
                            Leads are on properly.

u bought the ecu 2nd hand right?

if it's that random then it might be a loose wire/connector or even something loose in the ecu. for starters throw the ecu on something soft like a bit of foam to insulate it from the rattles of the car, and double and triple check connectors and wires.

                                Im at that stage Glenn.

Im about to change coils, but then its time to check every single wire for conectivity while its playing up
