You don't waste much fluid when flushing. The torque converter holds a lot of fluid. Just dumping the pan and refilling only get rid of 30% of the fluid.
It will probably take around 9 - 10Litres to flush and fill. You will see the colour change when the new fluid starts coming through.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Great stuff Shane. I still need to know which way the fluid flows so I put the bottle on the right hose. I am thinking it flows from the front outlet on the trans to the rear one. Can anyone confirm?
I done the shift kit mods. I fitted the 6.4mm shims and closed off the mystery orifice. Time will tell if this was a good idea.
This is a real prick to do when you have about 45cm clearance under the trans to the ground and you are doing it yourself. I just use some scrap bits of tinplate to hold the solenoids and checkball in place while I got the valve body back up. I just drilled some holes in the tinplate and loosely bolted it to the oilpan bolts so it would act like a tab to hold the solenoids in. I done the same for the checkball. I then lifted the valve body back up and got a few bolts started (was a real prick). After I got a few bolts in, I slid the tinplate back out. I heard how hard it was to hold this shit in upside down but this was not a prob at all with the tinplate. The worst part was holding the valve body on square with no room to move while simultaneously starting some bolts to hold it up.
If I was religious, I would be praying. Its a bit of a worry, but with anyluck it will work. I don't want to have to pull this off again.

Sorry, I didn't see this thread earlier. Saw the one on toymods though. Looks like you got it all sorted Dennis. The reason I haven't done it yet is because I was dreading doing it under the car! So I am just going to do it next week when I put the new converter in.
