Is there a decent exhaust shop in Canberra?

As the title states. I need a good exhaust shop in Canberra, RX8 needs a new exhaust.

Over the years I have been very unimpressed with all the so called decent ones.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

    No.

My experience has been that the level of no fucks given is immense and like many things in this town “no one else could possibly do this job so I’ll treble whatever hour hourly rate I’ve made up in my head”

Cool, that's exactly what I thought. Will have to DYI, I'm just lazy as fuck.

Go get some quotes. See if that will get rid of the laziness.

It was cheaper for me to buy a complete system out of the UK and far far less stressful. Maybe I don’t speak exhaust guy well, but it seemed like “couple hundred bucks” is the incremental unit and it’s about that per corner the pipe turns.

Used to be impressed with Roadway in belco, but then they became yet-another-4x4-accessories-for-4x4s-that-never-leave-tarmac-store.

Haven't had an exhaust built by them in years but was always impressed by the work Roadway had done for me. Most recently they made the skidplate for my MX5 and it was exactly what is asked for, for about half the price I expected.

Roadway and Powertone used to be the ones. As a Belco lad I never had any issues with Roadway

Roadway has always done a decent job on my stuff and customers cars.

Powertone definitely seems to do the odd bit of fab porn. No idea what the customers experience is like though.

I had a couple minor bits from Belconnen Exhaust, and they seemed fine and pricing was very reasonable. Theyre just a normal exhaust shop from what Ive seen, I havent seen anything fancy theyve done (not that Ive looked though)

Never used them, but I'll be taking my 1600 to Wild Fab for it's new exhaust if it's ever driving again.

Powatone seem well regarded. A mate for whom money is less of an issue than quality seems to have had some good work from them recently.

i have a sense with Canberra shops that if your interests and theirs align, all could be good. Otherwise.... good luck.

When I lived in the ACT I would go to City Muffler Centre in Nowra to get exhaust work, worth the drive

They've always done good work on my Geminis and usually really helpful.
