          They tramlined quite a bit, they were no where near as good in the wet as my 70% RE003s. Sidewalls were too soft for my liking too (on a Mk6 Golf GTi, not quite a porky pig but not a falcodore either).

          Most of all, I don't believe that the performance of the tyres justified the price. They're on deal all the time too, which makes me think that Continental are pushing bonus money on them all the time so that they sell. I had them on a Fiesta XR4 as well and they didn't last long and grip didn't justify the fast wear.

          I've tested the Conti's and RE003s back to back on my golf and the car is better in EVERY way on the Bridgestones.

            Got a set of Yokohama AE50 on the G6E a month or so back. Was going to go with the RE003, but these were about the same price so thought I would try something different. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm impressed.
            The cars a boat, so dry grip has never really been an issue. I went for a good drive last week and they did get a bit squirmy when they got really hot. They maybe under steered a bit more than the RE002, and definitely don't have the rock solid feel of the Sportmax RT.
            In the wet however they are brilliant. Miles ahead of the RE002, and I think better than the Dunlops too. Really really impressed. They will almost take full throttle in the wet in 2nd (300rwkw). I have also had a set of ATR2's. They wouldn't take full throttle in 5th in the wet.

              Had a set of Conti Sport Contact 5. The grip in the wet and dry is really good, but tread life/wear isn't great.

                My go-to tyre for the best streeter has been Conti Extremecontact DW

                Have had top-end street tyres from Bridgestone, Yokohama and Kumho and the Conti's simultaneously had more grip, equally as good handling and last longer than all of them.

                Only problem is you need to get them from O/S eg Tirerack as theyre not sold here (and if they were they'd probably cost $600 each)

                  Anyone got experience of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on track? Any good compared to say AD08R, etc?

                    I have MPSS on the M135. Did a full day at Nurburgring on them, plus just finished 6 days of Targa in both wet and dry conditions. A++ would bang again.

                          These Sport Contact 5's are very, very sticky.
                          Always up there in the mag tests.
                          I was very impressed and I've gone through 1million kms of tyres plus dozens of sets of track tyres.

                            They are ok but don't push hard or they get hot and melt. Mine had chunks torn out of them.
                            AD08R are much better on track, but stiffer and noisier on the road.
