    VS Statesman - lowering

    Hi all,

Chasing ideas that need to meet the following

    - lower than standard
    - retain legal ride height
    - retain comfort to some degree
    - not bank breaking

    Thanks

Get them heated up & reset would give the results you want...no idea on price or who to go to tbh.

Other option maybe 2nd set of pedders/lovellls as they seem to have had nicer ride comfort.Didn't like king springs
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Facebook marketplace a set of so front and ssl rears for IRS commodore.
VT-VZ springs will sit a touch higher than VR/VS because VR/VS were lighter.

off the top of my head, VR/VS Statesman and VT-VZ rears are same part number, as similar weight.
VS-VZ fronts are same part number throughout (v6 & v8 respectively)

v6 springs will sit lower in a v8, v8 springs higher in a v6 etc.....

You'll want to look at rear camber/toe kits if you go much lower than stock

FE2 if you can find them.

Subtly lower, minimal (if any) increase in spring rate. After trying a bunch of stuff I ended up with FE2 in the WK, paired with Koni Adjustables it handles really well (for an overweight barge that is).

king springs SLs and some monroes. it's just a fancy commodore, no need to overcomplicate it

I am a bit beyond that sort of shit tbh.

                    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160777289979?ul_noapp=true

This looks the goods I'd say.

Probably just wait for the next ebay % off sale.

Had FE2s in my VR with KYB Excel-Gs for an SS in the front, and Excel-G SS ute shocks in the rear. Rode decent for a daily, without the bouncy bullshit that everyone else seems to have when they lower a Commodore.

Hmmm do I wait 4 days and save $600?

Not too fussed on even - but has to be legal. Any idea on the exact height it would end up at with SL front and SSL rear?

SL would be about 25mm lower than fe2 or 50mm lower than stocker springs....SL on rear will sit 25-40mm higher than front hence most get lower for back.

Wait 4 days spend coin saved on memcal or shiftkit + servo
