    The rear suspension also received attention.
    A ‘Twin Cam’ trailing arm kit was ordered from Burton Power, and I welded the body and banjo mounts into place after careful measuring....

    The firewall was going to be a challenge as there wasn’t much left in the middle so I didn’t have any real guide of where it went – only a vague idea.

    The blaster did a great job blasting everywhere and giving it a coat of etch primer (in hindsight Epoxy would have been better), but he left the roof, bonnet and boot for us to strip the paint from ourselves...

    Nah Brad - it was only 2 years...

    On the 18th of October 2011, with the Dustbin in my shed we did the logical thing and pulled the doors off first.
    Followed by the bonnet and boot.



    This allowed us better...
