I remember first time over the crests on the straights when I had a crack at Bathurst last year. Of course had it pinned! Was. Not. Ready. For. That! Such an amazing place, and yes, it is equal parts scary and awesome. One day I'll make the trip back....

Additives won't help with your water temp. Water is the best stuff for heat transfer. You could try the water wetter type stuff, but I never noticed a difference when I gave it a go many years back.

Yes, Diesel Tezza tows well, had one for 3 years. Lower spec engine of the 3.0 TT version in the Disco 4. 2.7 tonne tow rating. Dunno about that (I wouldn't go that far with one) but it would tow my 1.9 tonne car/trailer combo easily and do about 12.5L/100...

Don't have one, but looking at one (2015 onwards current generation diesel wagon) for the boss lady to replace her Passat diesel wagon. Pre 2015 models are rather horrible inside for my money.

Ran RE003's on all three of our last daily driver cars. All 234 45 17 (ultimate bogan spec!). Commode VZ V8 (ultimate bogan spec, again), volvo S60, VW passat. Good grip, quite, didn't wear fast (easy 30,000 - 40,000 km life), but all were just daily...
