Will be a good thing. I think they did quite a bit of work with the 4.0 (dpf’s?) to get it emissions compliant. Not surprising it’s landing in a few platforms.

    RWB spec but ZFG....

  • Gotta say I wasn’t a massive mustang fan but finished the movie wanting one of those. Cool. But not 850k cool....

Yeah. Really sad news. Very experienced competitor. The riders seem to have decided to sit the next stage out in his memory. Nice gesture.

Brabec seems to be riding really consistently. Surely...

  • Dem supa cheap blue shiny faux chequer plate floor mats. Attention to detail is extraordinary. The bonnet is hideous but makes sense seeing what’s under it....

    Sounds awesome George,
always good to drop the mods in waves and get a feel for what each lot of upgrades does. And it seems like they are a real enthusiast platform so any perceived shortcoming...

Looks like such a good platform George. Heaps of bolt on go fast bits off the shelf. Fabricating custom parts can EAD. Looking forward to seeing this thing evolve....

Was great footage of them all cracking along in a bunch. Solid ride by Toby. Hopes of KTM maintaining their epic winning streak is on his shoulders. Going to be tough with the flock of Honda’s still...

Solid stage 4 for Toby. Up to 4th outright. He isn’t winning stages so won’t be opening the road but is closing the gap. Seems to be finding some rhythm and consistency. Brabec did well...

    Yeah,

it’s moments like that you learn nothing short of a proper motorcross boot will do for off road riding. Wont be the last time you get belted around the foot/ankle/shin. Recently...

Yeah True. It was a 2 man show in that era. In a class of their own.

Seems Toby and others had a GPS fail late in the stage and have been offered some reprieve. Back up to 6th. Will be interesting...

Seems like a mad day on the bikes. Brabec pulling massive time. Approx 9 minute lead. Toby lost on stage and dropped 30 odd minutes to 9th place. Sunderland tore up 30 odd minutes as well and sits 8th....

    Yeah,

would have been tough leading them out with the reduced prep time. I think by his own words he wasn’t looking to win the opening stage. New rules certainly seem to be shifting...

Did have a look on SBS on demand and there wasn’t their usual daily highlights packages. Their website does say they are covering it. Maybe off to a slow start while staff come back from their Chrissy...

Looks like Price copped a 2 min penalty for his road book malfunctioning (paper tore??) at approx 15km Mark. Managed to follow the dust and trails of the guys up the road to finish the stage. Fairly decent...

Looks like price has had a solid first day. Finished strongly to put 2 mins into the field. Brabec second. Very early days but not a bad position to find yourself in. Nasser looking good this point in...

Sunderland has had a solid year and is in good form. I guess you typically lose it rather than win it. Barreda always have pace if he can stay on the thing. Is maybe a handful of very solid contender...

    2020 Dakar

So they have moved it to Saudi. New terrain for everyone should be a bit of a leveller. A fully fit Toby Price should be able to give it a good shake. Some depth in the pointy end of the bikes though....
