Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long for a reply to my email re the springs, and they were very good about it and are sending me the correct size springs asap.

And because of the horrendous freight charges they said to just keep the...

    I just can't win a trick

The pair of heavier coil springs for my rear shocks arrived today from McGill Motorsports in the U.K. which was not too long to wait.
So out I went and started to replace the springs, only to...

    Thanks for that mate.
That one is definitely for the too hard basket and as you said he is asking way too much for me anyhow.
It would be good for someone who lived closer and I am sure someone from the Mallock groups would love to have it...

The whole video was interesting and how the development in F1 progressed through the early days.
One of his early comments was pretty true about who has the most money generally does better in the long run
which is how F1 is these days with...

No Cossie for me I'm afraid.

A Gixxer is my limit, and you can have first dibs on the whole project when it hits the market....

I think Roy has enough on his plate with his own workload.
Plus he and I live about 150km's. from each other which is another small impediment....

    Thanks mate.
My shocks are set in stone now, so the AVO's are of no use to me now.

I think just about anything is going to be beyond my budget body wise if it was that sort of money 20 years ago.
I would like the looks but probably...

    Thanks for that GXXR.

My little beast is a lot shorter than a Mallock from what I can eyeball from pics but that doesn't matter I can always adapt anything that I can get hold off to suit.
Probably the hardest part will always be the...

No the problem is the coil spring weigh capacity.
I played around with different positions and moving the mounting tabs to no avail.

I made a rough guesstimation of spring weights when ordering them with the shocks and ordered 150lb....

Still doing little bits and pieces on the car.

I underestimated the weight of coilover springs on the rear so it it is now listing to starboard until I source some heavier springs for the rear
which is easy enough, but the bastards...

I use this clip to scare myself back to reality.
Same engine but he is almost 100kg. heavier than my car so far
I think I will get Roy to knock me up some aero too.

    I agree with you Roy.

The "bargain " carbon tub would soon turn into a money pit with little rewards IMO.

Concentrate on getting the Cossie going and putting the power down, then look for go faster solutions.
